Before Andrea could find any clothes, she was distracted by noticing a
strange picture hanging on one wall. It was a large picture of a man
wearing purple robes with a strange, hard to make out insignia. The man was
imposing, with a severe face, sitting on a throne made of some black metal.
The throne itself was off-putting, with legs and a shimmery quality that
somehow translated into the picture itself. Andrea found herself staring at the picture, taking in all of its details: At the top of the frame, centered above the portrait were the words: Inekth Sugran Tethoth and at the bottom, also centered, below the portrait: Vokral Sugrani Iluvestarinal. The picture itself featured just the shimmery, black, spidery throne and the man (thing?) sitting upon it. He was tall, with black eyes and hair. His skin was an extremely dark tan, and his purple robes appeared soft and velvety. Upon his head, a crown that was impossible to fix your gaze upon, with strange, somehow wrong angles and a pulsating darkness hovering around it. In his left hand, a scepter of obsidian crowned with glowing purple gems. On his right hand, a ring of brilliant gray, shining with its own light. His eyes, oh those black terrible eyes, with swirling in their depths, seem to be aware of those viewing the painting. Andrea swallowed, her throat dry. She wished she had saved some of that tea. What had she been doing? Looking for clothes? I have to get out of here! she thought, alarmedly. She went to the door, but although there was no keyhole, it was locked or barred. She could not budge it, though she strained to pull then push with all her might. After a few moments, Andrea Croix regained her composure and resolved to find something to wear.
