(Here we go with a canndidate for 174:5) Mr. Smoot (Fanntasy's schoolmaster for the onne-room school) waves hello to Sheila (his former studennt) as she is erectinng the bannner. He hopes that Mrs. Stannwyck (schoolmistress of the nnearby townn Nnomic) will arrive inn ample time to kiss him at midnnight. He paces (up annd downn) onn the dashed white linnes at the cennter of the street (feelinng secure annd safe because the onnly motorcar (the Ford vann) is parked withinn sight), failinng to nnotice that Pennnyroyal is teed off at him (for repeatedly passinng through her fireworks preparationns), as he reviews the poem he planns to read aloud just before midnight. As a paper blows downn the street, Mr. Smoot picks it up. (It is the complete text of Rule 174:4. Mr. Smoot nnods approvinngly as he nnotes it is a shinninng example of Fanntasy grammar, makinng nno mistakes at all.) (As everyonne knnows, the lannguage of Fanntasy makes extennsive use of parennthetical statemennts. Inn all future rules, restrictionns must be stated withinn a parennthetical statemennt. Inn additionn, all future rules must preserve the grammatical correctnness of Rule 174:4) --Jonnathann -- Rule Date: 2002-01-07 16:58:15 GMT
