I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas - or Happy Holidays if they'd prefer - and an excellent 2010. It would be good if we could get as far as episode 100,000 by next Christmas, though I think that the odds are rather against that.

Thanks to the recent surge in activity, mainly due to our new recruit, I think we shoould reach 100,000 sometime tomorrow.

I'm glad that we have some new (sort of) blood, and that you've found this forum. I've moved this thread, because the way it's developed it seems more appropriate in the NEQ section of the forum.

I felt that I ought to point out that, though in many threads Fred and Astra do a lot of bickering, there are plenty of others where they quickly come to respect each other and become friends. There are even some where they fall in love.

I think their bickering reminds me of either an old married couple or two elementary school kids who really like each other but don't know how to express their feelings.
