Back for an Evening
Real life has gotten in the way, and I have not had the powers of concentration to write quality episodes in the last three or four years. I wrote a few short episodes tonight. I still visit the site and read the other contributions from time to time.

It's good to see you still here. I am always worried that I will come back and find this place desolate (or even gone) and am always relieved when it's still alive and relatively active.

I'm glad to say that it's still alive, but to say that it's active might be overstating it. Any chance of persuading you to write some episodes? (Or perhaps you already have. I haven't checked today yet.)

Yeah, it isn't as active as it used to be, although I see episodes still do get made regularly, even if not daily. Still comforting to see the old regulars pop in every now and again, as well as the occasional newcomer. This is one of the first websites that I ever joined and I have episodes dating back to my pre-teen years, so it is always comforting and nostalgic to come back to this place.

Re: Back for an Evening
Well...I added my obligatory one episode.
I felt it my duty.
These days I do a lot more reading than I do writing.
Okay, fine. I spend all my time on YouTube and Pornhub. Is that what you wanted!? Are you happy!? You fell better about yourselves now!?
*bursts into tears*
I still have...mother issues. My therapist is... Not much much help.
*pops another Prozac*
I'm good. I'm good. Are we good? We're good. Cheerio, old chums.

It's nice to hear from you. I read and enjoyed your episode, though I haven't been following the Frita story so felt unable to continue it. I still fondly remember our "Fred, Astra and co marooned on a desert island" story.

Yes, good to hear from you as well.
Haha! That's funny, because I fondly remember that thread, too. We wrote, if I do say so myself (and I do say so....myself), some funny stuff.
I think I honestly had the most fun doing that thread. Or at least around that time I had the most fun. Just writing stuff that popped into my head and made me chuckle.
I think I've always found my pace when I focus on the lighter, more whimsical side of things.
I enjoyed working with Y and Mr Qrygg on the Cedrik thread, as well. Though it quickly got WAY too complicated - no thanks to me! I cringe at some of the grammatical errors I made back then, though.
I was young. And stoned.
There were tons of other writers who I loved as well. The indelible Lots42. Ryu. Anableps of course. WolfRun. Ben McClellan. So many more. I'm forgetting a lot.
I was stoned a lot. Gimme a break, will ya!? Sheesh.
Anyway, be well, old Chap.
Good luck with Brexit!!!!

Thanks, we'll need it!
Ben is still around, Lots too of course, Anableps and MSG, but it's a shame the number of good writers who we seem to have lost for good. There have been a couple of new writers turn up in recent years, one the anonymous one who has been a major contributor to the Frita story and another under the handle of Indecisive Hedgehog with whom I've collaborated on one story.

Ahh, yes, I seem to recall having a sneak peek at a thread you and that Hedgehog fellow were working on. It must have been a couple years ago, though. I think.
Therefore I am. Not.
Hmm?
And of course the names came flooding back throughout my Saturday...
Reaibn, Won-Tolla, Keegan.....who else? Pozzo was brilliant. Harkening back to the Dark Ages - The Traveller (who I never collaborated with but often paid tribute to).
There are many, many more.
Well, again. Best of wishes.
Not the most um...graceful of moments for either of our two countries? We'll keep throwing peaches at our Mafioso in Chief while you parliamentary sods squabble over how much longer to put off the inevitable.
Just....one more month!
Okay. Um. Just....one more month. Please.
Okay okay. Look....just...one more month.
Okay. Month's over. Just give us another month. Thank you.
Okay. So look....about that month. Yeah. We're gonna need one more. It's compromise. Okay? Thank you. Just one more.
Did we say one more? What we MEANT is...one more. That's it. We're drawing a line in the sand. We're the God damn Brits, dammit. We stormed the beaches at Normandy!!!!!
Stiff upper lip. And one more. Month. Please. Thank you.
Did we say one? We meant one. But we MEANT...one. As in one more.

Re: Back for an Evening
As has been pointed out, Brexit is like the Hotel California: "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
(Which reminds me that a couple of months ago I actually saw a hotel calling itself the "Hotel California". I don't know if the owner was blissfully unaware of the song, or just had a quirky sense of humour. Either way, I wouldn't have thought the name could do much for the number of customers.)

Re: Back for an Evening
I seem to recall seeing a Motel by the same name, myself.
Still, not as bad as Ned's Bedbug Bed & Breakfast down on 3rd street here in Louisville.
It's just not a good name. There's gotta be a real substantial cash figure they're losing annually...
